A Guide to Golf Courses: Spain
The United States is not the only country in the world that offers incredible golfing. In this article, we will explore some of the finest golf courses in Spain. If you're heading to this sunny, beautiful country, you will certainly find plenty of fun pursuits -- including golf. There are an incredible number of courses in various parts of Spain, so no matter where in the country you are you can find an amazing place to break out your clubs.
The Emporda Golf Resort is located in Girona on the Mediterranean coast. At this stunning Spanish paradise you will discover 36 amazing holes split into two courses. The Links course is a traditional style course which makes the most of the landscape and features a natural lake and gently sloping bunkers. Then there's Forest, which as its name suggests is interwoven through a more wild and untamed environment. Either one of these courses will delight any golf lover, as will the incredible restaurant and fine lodgings found at this resort.
The Costa Brava golf course is another fine Spanish course sure to please any golfer. This relaxing par 70 offers gentle holes for all skill levels, surrounded by natural wonders like cork oak trees and pines. The course is fairly small and one of the easiest in the Costa Brava area which is famed for its fantastic golf courses and clubs. Flat land makes it easy for players of all fitness levels to walk the course if that is what they choose, although there is cart rental and other amenities such as a pro shop and snack bar.
Or, check out Peralada which is located on a fairly flat area of land lined with gorgeous olive trees. The course is fairly fast to play but is definitely five star. Easy to walk, this course is perfect for beginners and pros alike and is a favorite of many female golf enthusiasts. The course boasts a great restaurant, golf school and fully stocked golf shop. There are many great golf courses in Spain, and Peralada is one of them. Whether you are seeking a short, flat course like Costa Brava or Peralada or a more challenging one like those found at Emporada, Spain does not disappoint! The courses featured here are only a small fraction of the wonderful choices awaiting you in this gorgeous Mediterranean country.
